- Zoning Verification Letter Request (PDF) - Please ensure the subject property is within the City of Hudson municipal limits prior to submitting a zoning letter request. Variances
Variance appeal applications are considered by the Board of Appeals on an as-needed basis. On September 3, 2024, the City of Hudson Common Council updated Municipal Code §255-90 and §255-91 related to the Board of Appeals. Please ensure any variance applications meet the standards set by Ordinance 7-24.

Other Permits
Fence and Sign permit fees must be paid (cash or check only) at the time the application is submitted. Once reviewed and processed; the permit, receipt, and any supplemental information will be sent via mail or email.
Sign Permit
Sign permits are required for any new and/or replacement signs as per Municipal Code Chapter 202 (Sign Ordinance (PDF)). A sign permit application (PDF) is to be submitted with the fee of $50 per sign (cash or check only). The application will be reviewed by the Community Development Department. If there are any issues, the applicant will be contacted. If the request complies with the sign code; the permit, receipt, and any supplemental information will be mailed or emailed to the applicant.
A master sign plan permit application (PDF) is to be submitted with the fee of $50 per sign (cash or check only) for the following: Planned Unit Developments (PUDs), off-premises advertising on an adjacent lot, building complexes, multi-tenant structures, shopping centers/strip malls, and area identification signs.
Fence Permit
Fence permits are required for any new and/or replacement fences as per Municipal Code Chapter 106-16 (Fence Code (PDF)). A fence permit application (PDF) is to be submitted with the fee (cash or check only). The application will be reviewed by the Community Development Department. If there are any issues, the applicant will be contacted. If the request complies with the fence code; the permit, receipt, and any supplemental information will be mailed or emailed to the applicant. Please note that an easement agreement and additional fee may be required if the fence is proposed to be located in an easement area.
