Anytime there is a snowfall in the City of Hudson, and it accumulates more than 2 inches, per city ordinance, a Snow-Plowing Event will be declared by Hudson’s Public Works Department. Following a snow event, the Public Works Department will remove snow from the downtown district. When this occurs, a downtown snow removal event will be notified, just like a regular snowplow event, which prohibits cars from parking on City streets from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM. Streets include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from Coulee to Vine St. and Locust, Walnut, Commercial, and Wisconsin from 1st to 3rd.
An explanation of the Snow-Plowing Event when applicable is available at this link:
Per City Ordinance, individuals are responsible for parking vehicles in compliance with this section with or without prior notice from the City of an expected snow-plowing event.
While the City may, but is not required to provide a courtesy notification of snow- plowing events, please monitor the City website and social media accounts for the most up to date information, notices, and alerts.
Snow Event parking citations are issued during a snow-plowing event. Any vehicle that is parked on the street that is in violation of the City Ordinance has a chance of receiving a citation, and a possibility of being towed.
