Anytime there is a snowfall in the City of Hudson, and it accumulates more than 2 inches, per city ordinance, a Snow-Plowing Event will be declared by Hudson’s Public Works Department. Following a snow event, the Public Works Department will remove snow from the downtown district. When this occurs, a downtown snow removal event will be notified, just like a regular snowplow event, which prohibits cars from parking on City streets from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM. Streets include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from Coulee to Vine St. and Locust, Walnut, Commercial, and Wisconsin from 1st to 3rd.

Per City Ordinance, individuals are responsible for parking vehicles in compliance with this section with or without prior notice from the City of an expected snow-plowing event.
While the City may, but is not required to provide a courtesy notification of snow- plowing events, please monitor the City website and social media accounts for the most up to date information, notices, and alerts.

Parking Citations During a Snow Event
Snow Event parking citations are issued during a snow-plowing event. Any vehicle that is parked on the street that is in violation of the City Ordinance has a chance of receiving a citation, and a possibility of being towed.
